Hanami Festival Menu

TeasDoman Persimmon Tea : Possibly the most recognized and sought tea originating from Yanxia, this tea is made from the skins of a dried persimmon fruit with sweetness occurring naturally. (Served hot or chilled)

Traditional Matcha : The most renown drink of Far Eastern royalty and nobility for centuries, this concentrated green tea is ground into a fine powder and whisked into a silky texture with a slightly foamy finish. It is regularly enjoyed accompanied by something sweet. We recommend konpeito (sugar stars) or your favorite flavor of mochi! (Served hot only)

Sakura (Cherry Blossom) Tea : The reason for the season, this delicate sweet-but-salty tea has an almond aftertaste that finishes clean and light to resemble new beginnings. The perfect metaphor for Spring! (Served warm)

Yuzu Tea : A very simple, clean and mildly sour tea made from the pulp and peel of the yuzu fruit. Like a lemon and a grapefruit had a child! (Served hot or cold!)

Genmai Cha : Herby, earthy and mildly nutty, this tea is made from a blend of green tea leaves and brown rice that has been roasted to the puffed "popping" of the grain. (Served hot, recommended)

White Peach Cold Brew Tea : Oolong Tea and slices of white peaches and lemons, steeped cold overnight with a sprig of mint. Naturally sweet and crisp, like the first breath of Spring! (Served cold only)

Yanxian Smoky Black Tea (Lapsang Souchong): This black tea is made from coiled leaves that have been roasted over burning Yanxian pine needles for a much stronger, smoky flavor. Won't turn your hair pre-maturely white, promise! (Served hot only)

DessertsSakura Mochi : As vibrant and delightful to the senses as the cherry blossom itself, this traditional treat consists of mildly-sweetened glutinous rice surrounding sweet bean paste, lovingly wrapped in a pickled sakura leaf. Welcome to sakura blossom serenity!

Rolanberry Cheesecake Slice : A little sour, a little sweet and a lot of silken creaminess, we've swirled rolanberry preserves into a classic cheesecake, topping a honey cookie crumble crust. Enjoy the bliss that may remind you of a first kiss! (It reminds me!)

Matcha Cheescake : Creamy, smooth and very green, with matcha powder mixed into the classic cheesecake filling, covering a honey cookie crumble crust, topped with an extra dusting of powder. Truly, this treat is the ultimate combination of East and West flavors.

Mini Carrot Cakes : Bring Spring into your step (or Steppe) with these tiny cakes! Slightly dense cake of carrot, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar, with a middle and top layer of cream cheese frosting, topped with crushed pecans! Springy and zingy!

Tropical Nut and Chocolate Cookies : Craving an early taste of Summer? Enjoy these cookies and see if they don't drive you kupo-nuts. Cocoa powdered cookie dough containing chopped-up fragments of BIG tropic nuts and both semi-sweet chocolate and white chocolate chips.

Plum Crumble Tarts : Juicy Doman plums doused with lemon and ginger zest, sliced and layered in a pie dough tart shell, topped with a buttery crumble of sunset wheat flour, cinnamon and sugar. Perseverance and purity on a pretty plate!

Snacks and ExtrasTaiyaki : Named for the fish it is shaped like, this light-battered treat is filled with sweet bean paste. A fish in shape only, so please do not throw into water!

Dango : Three rice flour dumplings served on a skewer. Lightly sweet, simply satisfying!

Konpeito (Sugar Stars) : Exactly like they sound! Tiny little sweeteners to soothe any bitter aftertastes. Also colorful and pretty!
